Yet another farm attack

A 50-year-old man is in a serious condition after he was allegedly attacked on his farm near Ventersdorp on Sunday morning.

When paramedics, who had been called shortly after 05:00, arrived on the farm they found the elderly man with multiple stab wounds to his leg and a serious fracture of his upper leg, together with heavy bruising.

The man apparently heard a noise outside his house when his dogs started barking. When he tried to investigate, a group of unknown suspects overpowered him and assaulted him, whilst his wife and family hid.

Thankfully this attack was not fatal, the victim was airlifted to a Johannesburg Hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Police are investigating.
