An excellent, well-crafted speech. Would that her genteel approach could carry the day. But, to paraphrase Lincoln: we are engaged in a great psycho-spiritual war...and, although she out classed her critics it was a minor skirmish.

Compare Palin's statement to the quotes in the post below from Obama and then ask yourself, "who is the statesman?" Who shows leadership? Who seeks to promote national unity?

Conversely, who looks like a street thug, seeking to divide the nation?

How could it possibly be any more clear! It is small wonder that the Dems are scared stiff of this woman; she is everything that they are not, and she absolutely terrifies them! Go Sarah!

Too bad both sides of the political spectrum agree in DC because they are both part of the problem. The GOP and the Democrats both want to run America off a cliff - they just disagree on the speed. Also, as an European, I see this as an existential fight that we can't afford to lose against the left. It's not a civil opponent, it is a mortal enemy that threatens our existence.
