SA farmer dies of his injuries weeks after attack

It has come to my attention via a report on CensorBugbear that 38 year old Kromdraai farmer Jurie Louw died on December 13th following injuries sustained in a violent attack at the end of November.

Mr. Louv was attached by an unknown number of assailants with a hatchet and a knobkierie (a round headed wooden club, traditionally used as a weapon by South African tribesmen) on the 27th November. He was found unconscious next to his car on the tar road leading to his farm the next morning and taken to hospital.

Prior to the farmer's death the police recorded the attack as a robbery, although there is no evidence that any property was taken. No arrests have yet been made.
