hi Sarah
please read the post on the SAS blog " a historical perspective on SA land ownership"
Does Europe and Brittain really believe they can survive the importation of all these foreigners
Within a 100 years the free state province in SA was doomed because of it.
See the stats there were no blacks there

Wake up Europe

Thank you for that clip Sarah. Sadly I see no hope no for South Africa.

They should have learned the lesson from Rhodesia and said nuts to "world opinion" and gone it alone until more enlightened Western Governments came into being.

I hope you are well. Next time you are on the forum let us meet in chat.

Listened to that and got to the part where it said 'there were no black slaves in South Africa' and switched off.

This bloke is as ignorant about African history as your are, as I've pointed out on several occassions.

As usual though, you won't allow my comments because you censor pretty much all comments disagreeing with you here.

You finally allowed one of my comments, I am surprised!

Well not very surprised, you allowed my previous comment because, unlike several other factual, non-abusive comments I've left here, you think I'm actually wrong for once.

Unfortunately for you this is not the case.

If you believe that there were white owned slaves in South Africa, then, with due respect, you are the ignorant one with no knowledge of African history.

I would be interested in knowing what reading you've done to arrive at this opinion. None I would guess.

While I disagree with you and your ilk on many issues which could be termed 'opinion' this is a simple question of you denying, or being ignorant of, verifiable facts.

The first white owned slaves arrived in the 1650's. I can even tell you the name of the first slave, Abraham van Batavia. Slavery continued until around 1834 with the last slaves being imported in 1822.

That's roughly a 180 year period of slavery.

I can point you in the direction of some illuminating reading on the subject if needs be.

Earth to Duncan

Virtually every country on earth had slaves up until 1833, when it was abolished across the British Empire.

There were certainly no slaves after abolition, unlike Asia, Arabia and large parts of non-colonial Africa.

You are speaking of events almost 200 years ago which have no relevance to modern day South Africa, or indeed Apartheid South Africa.

You are not being clever, you are just being dishonest.

First I see Africa was in the paper this week with regards to slavery still going on.

Sarah please contact me.

duncan monkey clearly is a snot nosed kid whose grasp of history is indicative of his education - or rather lack thereof.
