It was something you'd never see in SA, wheer I come from. The national pride is still in the UK, despite the mixed races, and I, for one am grateful for that!
meagain.blogspot.comLife's like that...https://www.blogger.com/profile/00731795636558984416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3373165199675890724.post-4238161698124404002008-08-25T18:57:00.000-07:002008-08-25T18:57:00.000-07:00"They come looking for a London steeped in white E..."They come looking for a London steeped in white European history, a London of palaces and Christian churches, of Shakespeare's Globe, Tower bridge and a living story richer than almost any other city on Earth. They come to the city which houses the mother of parliaments, the essential birthplace of democracy and the form of law most widely adopted throughout the world."

My paternal grandmother was born in England, my mother was born in England, and I, born in Canada have never been to your country precisely because I'm not interested in enmeshing myself in just another multicultural cesspool that shows little resemblance the original template.

I've traveled to New Zealand on four occasions during the past 20 years and found an increasing Asiatic appearance on Auckland's streets which no longer resembles the same city from the mid '80s. Even the rather "British" city of Christchurch, N.Z. is slowly being racially transformed every year.

New Zealand is a beautiful little country, but I have no desire to return there.

The same sentiment applies to "multi-culti" Toronto where I lived until the mid '90s when I saw that I was becoming a racial minority in my own city.

I enjoy traveling to "exotic" places around the world, but do not relish the thought of finding the natives of these countries suddenly living next door to me.

Furthermore, when minorities are given special status through employment-equity programs, job promotions etc, while White Canadians suffer the consequences and pay dearly for the cost of our own replacement, then I become really disenchanted with these traitorous policies.

We have a Canadian blogger on this side of the Atlantic that touches on some of the same material as you.
